Encyclopedia Britannica says that Communism is a system that actually benefits the working class. The entire point of Communism is to usher in equality between the proletariat (the working class) and the bourgeoisie (the big business owners). The original idea was proposed by Karl Marx and quickly accepted by roughly 33% of people across Europe. Eventually he passed away and the movement slowed then stopped, only to be picked up by Russia and several Asian countries effectively continuing the spread.
